NHL Playoff Schedule 2016: Updated Conference Finals Bracket and Predictions

The Pittsburgh Penguins have earned a Game 7 opportunity at home after beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 on the road Tuesday, and now the St. Louis Blues are going to try to emulate that feat.

Like the Penguins, the Blues lost a pivotal fifth game at home. Now they must go to San Jose Wednesday night and try to stay alive by winning Game 6 at the SAP Center.

While the Blues dropped a 6-3 decision at the Scottrade Center in Game 5, they did not play a poor game. They held a 3-2 lead late in the second period before the Sharks tied it. San Jose took a 4-3 lead early in the third period on an artful deflection of a Brent Burns shot by Joe Pavelski.

The Blues could not manage to get the tying goal by Martin Jones, but they have scored nine goals in the last two games. They played a dominant game versus the Sharks when they tied the series in Game 4 on the road, and now they must do the same to stay alive in the Western Conference Final.
