First off, I would like to apologize for my two-day hiatus. My picks should go accordingly with no issue.




Pittsburgh Penguins at Washington Capitals


The hottest rivalry in the NHL today, the Caps/Pens match-up always has some fireworks. But the issue with this game is health. Gino Malkin is most likely out for this game, and this is a problem for the Pens, considering they have scored just 14 goals in their last 7 games. On top of that, Jose Theodore has been white-hot since January, going 16-0-2 with a 2.40 GAA and .927 save percentage in that span.


Look for Washington to win a rough game in this one.


Washington over Pittsburgh


Montreal Canadiens at Buffalo Sabres


Both teams have been hot as of late, with Montreal coming off a seven-game winning streak and Buffalo winning its last three. Plus, Montreal has two of their power play specialists, Michael Cammaleri and Marc-Andre Bergeron, coming back from injury.
