NHL Lockout: ‘Together We Stand’ Campaign Calls for Fans to Raise Their Voices

The NHL is on the verge of having another lockout. It would be the second lockout since the 2004-05 season, and it would be the third lockout of Gary Bettman's career as NHL commissioner. The league is still recovering from the lockout that cancelled the 2004-05 season, and another lockout would kill the league for sure. 

Some fans would welcome the league back, but others would turn their backs on the sport for good. Fans gave the NHL a second chance after the 2004-2005 season, and this next lockout could be the final straw.

Regardless of what side of the fence fans are on, they have their own opinion, and deserve to have their opinions heard by the NHL.

The "Together We Stand" campaign was created by 21-year-old Janne Makkonen—a video editor in Finland. He recently started doing phenomenal videos of the NHL, specifically "Our Way of Life" and "Dare to Dream."

It calls for fans to not just sit back and watch the NHL and the NHLPA do battle, but to stand up and fight. It calls for fans to raise their voices and show the NHL that the fans actually matter.
