Admittedly, I did get in on the conference call a bit late and thus, was unable to ask any specific questions to Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger. That said, I was able to jot down a few highlights from another writers questions. Here’s what Pronger had to say about the Winter Classic and the state of the struggling Flyers.
On the state of the Flyers : “I think we all understand that it’s certainly no fun coming to the rink when you’re losing, guys are disappointed, guys are, you know, are just kinda deer in the headlights....We just didn’t think we’d be in this situation, we didn’t think we’d be having to go through what we are going through right now.
“...Having said that, if we’re able to overcome this challenge and overcome this adversity, the more stronger and more united we’re going to be as a group. If we’re able to come together and figure this thing out quickly and get back on track, get ourselves back into the mix and back into contention to not only make the playoffs, but maybe make some hey.
