NHL Draft Lottery Results 2015: Selection Order, Analysis and Twitter Reaction

It's a great night in Edmonton. 

Despite coming into the NHL draft lottery with the third-best odds of winning the top overall selection, the Edmonton Oilers won the lottery and will pick No. 1 overall. 

SportsCenter on Twitter noted that the Oilers have made it a habit of landing the top overall pick:

While anything could happen between now and the June 26 draft, it's fairly obvious what the Oilers will be doing with the top overall pick, as Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News tweeted:



Connor McDavid is considered the best prospect to hit the NHL since Sidney Crosby, so it would be rather shocking if the Oilers didn't select him. He'll join a group of former lottery selections in Edmonton, as Tim Wharnsby of CBC Sports tweeted:
