NHL Buzz: Which New Jersey Devils Are On The Way Out?

Now that the New Jersey Devils officially own the rights to Ilya Kovalchuk, they are approximately $3 million over the cap. The Devils will now have to go the trade route to shed some salary.

The most likely trade candidates appear to be Bryce Salvador, Colin White, Brian Rolston, and Dainius Zubrus.

My take: Based on what I have heard, Bryce Salvador and Dainius Zubrus appear to be the most likely to be moved as several teams are expected to express interest in at least one of these two players.

I have heard whispers that the Maple Leafs could show interest in Dainius Zubrus if the price is right; however, I cannot confirm this report.

My take: I think Zubrus would be a good fit in Toronto and would come at a reasonable price; however, the Leafs may not be too interested.

I have also heard that the Sharks, Stars, and Ducks are interested in Bryce Salvador but once again, I cannot confirm these reports.

My take: Salvador would be a great fit on all three teams as he would provide both leadership and toughness on the back end.
