NHL Buzz: The Latest on Bill Guerin, Peter Mueller, Bobby Ryan and More

Various media outlets are reporting that Bill Guerin wants to play for the Flyers or Devils and would accept a camp invite to those teams.

My take: I think Guerin would be a great fit on the Flyers and the Devils; however, they're both in a tight cap situation and if Guerin signed he would have to accept less than a million dollars.

The Colorado Avalanche have re-signed RFA forward Peter Mueller to a two-year deal worth a total of four million dollars.

My take: This is great news for the Avalanche as they will get one of their better players re-signed right before training camp opens up.

Bobby Ryan and the Ducks continue to get closer to an extension, but nothing is done yet.

My take: I expect Ryan will be signed within the next few days as Ryan wants to stay in Anaheim (at least for a few years) and the Ducks want to keep him.

The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed UFA forward Andrew Cogliano to a one-year deal worth one million dollars.
