With the Draft coming up in under two weeks and Free Agency to follow, there are a lot of rumors going around. Here is the latest.

 

It is believed that the New Jersey Devils are going to make a big push for Maple Leafs defenseman Tomas Kaberle.

As a Devils fan, I am glad to see this. The Devils need a pure puck-moving defenseman and Tomas Kaberle is that.

 

The Blackhawks are not expected to re-sign forwards John Madden and Adam Burish.

The Blackhawks are in deep trouble, as they have only a few million dollars to fill seven or eight roster spots. They may have to move both Versteeg and Sharp and in the meantime let John Madden and Adam Burish walk.

 

I am hearing that the Maple Leafs are interested in forward Kris Versteeg.

This is a perfect fit in my eyes: Versteeg is a very good young forward who has already won.

 

Russian forward Nikolai Zherdev is expected to return to the NHL this season.

There may not be a ton of suitors, but there are a few teams interested. Watch out for the Devils, Canucks, Sabres, Leafs and P ...
