NHL Buzz: Best Bet Destination for Tomas Kaberle Is San Jose

The Tomas Kaberle watch is officially on (if it wasn't already). I truly believe he will be dealt, and as of right now, my best bet is the Sharks. The Toronto Sun is reporting that the Sharks may have offered defensive prospect Derek Joslin (an offensive-minded defenseman) and a first round pick for Tomas Kaberle. Whether Brian Burke accepts it or not remains to be seen, but that looks like a pretty solid offer.

Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet is reporting that the LA Kings have moved on past Tomas Kaberle and Ilya Kovalchuk and are now focusing on Willie Mitchell. Kypreos also noted that Mitchell is expected to make his playing decision soon. Rumor has it the Capitals, Canucks, and Islanders are among the other teams interested.

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun is reporting that Canucks GM Mike Gillis is shopping defenseman Kevin Bieksa. If the Kings can't land Mitchell, they will likely turn their attention to Bieksa.
