NHL All-Star Weekend: Could Toronto Maple Leafs’ Phil Kessel Be the MVP?

While there aren't likely many in the hockey world that think Phil Kessel has any chance of earning the MVP honors at the 2011 NHL All Star Game, there is always the possibility that 12 other players may not show up.

In all seriousness, the Toronto Maple Leafs have done fairly well in regard to having representative of our beloved Leafs earning that particular honor.

Alexi Kovalev (then of the Montreal Canadiens), won the award at last years game and this year with no Sidney Crosby it's anybody's game.

Actually, the truth of the matter is Sid the Kid hasn't won the honor yet neither has Alex Ovechkin for that matter, arguably the tow best players in the league over the last few seasons.

The Toronto Maple Leafs as a team have seen four roster player over the years receive the MVP nod. 

Here, we' will have a look at all for in order of first to last, and no, the last one wasn't in 1967.
