NHL All-Star Skills Competition 2016: Date, TV Schedule, Format, Events, Players

The best of hockey's best have an opportunity a day before the NHL All-Star Game to display their individual skills in the All-Star Skills Competition on Saturday. 

In six events that will test all 44 players elected to the All-Star team, the fan-elected captains in Jaromir Jagr and Alex Ovechkin of the Eastern Conference, along with Patrick Kane and John Scott of the Western Conference, will choose which players participate in which events. 

Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming event:

Date: Saturday, Jan. 30

Time: 7 p.m. ET

TV: NBC Sports Network (USA), CBC, Sportsnet, TVA Sports (Canada)

Events: Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater, Honda NHL Breakaway Challenge, DraftKings NHL Accuracy Shooting, Gatorade NHL Skills Challenge Relay, AMP Energy NHL Hardest Shot, Discover NHL Shootout



A series of points will be rewarded in each event. Obviously, the division with the most points wins the skills challenge. Let's take a look at what each event entails.
