New York Rangers Update: Marian Gaborik Set to Return, Michal Rozsival Injured

Here is the latest news on Marian Gaborik, Michal Rozsival and Vinny Prospal.

 

Marian Gaborik

After this morning's New York Rangers practice, Marian Gaborik told reporters that he will return to the Rangers lineup Thursday night against the Buffalo Sabres. Gaborik, who missed 12 games with a separated shoulder, is expected to play on a line with Alexander Frolov and Erik Christensen; but nothing is final just yet.

 

Michal Rozsival

The Rangers defenseman will be forced to sit out 7-10 days with a shoulder injury. He did not practice with the team this morning, and head coach John Tortorella announced the injury to the media at the end of the practice. There were no call-ups made, as Matt Gilroy will take Rozsival's spot in the lineup during his absence.

 

Vinny Prospal

The New York Rangers organization announced yesterday that Vinny Prospal should return to the Rangers lineup by the end of December. Prospal has not played this season due to a knee injury.
