New York Rangers: Bad Romance

No. I'm not falling for it this time. I'm not going to come crawling back to you, I'm not going to believe that you've changed.

You've hurt me so much. You've wrenched my heart over and over, and each time, I come crawling back, believing the garbage that you tell me.

How can you excuse five and a half months of grueling torture, just to come back and be the model companion for a couple of weeks and expect everything to be fine again?

This is the battle I have with the New York Rangers year after year.

Every year I tell myself I'm not going to get my hopes up, just to have the Rangers shoot them down like an Al Iafrate slapshot.

This year has been no different, except for one thing: I'm not buying it.

The Rangers might be on a nice hot streak right now, but don't look too much into it. These past 10 games have been a gift from the schedule maker.

Look at the teams the Rangers have defeated. With the exception of the 4-3 shootout win over the Devils, none of the Rangers victories have impressed me.

The only thing impressive is Henrik Lundqvist's play. Which if anything, will help his end- ...
