Breaking News: The New York Rangers have acquired prospect defenseman Stu Bickel from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for their own prospect defenseman, Nigel Williams.

Stu Bickel, 24, has played 63 games in the AHL, totaling two goals, six assists and eight points.

Bickel stands 6'4'' and 218 pounds. According to his scouting report, Bickel is:

"A physical stay-at-home defenseman, Bickel has good size and an unpleasant on-ice disposition. He also has an underrated outlet pass. He can play the role of a second-pairing defenseman but is better suited as a third-pairing, shutdown guy.

The defenseman does have to improve his conditioning though as he has sustained numerous injuries over the past two seasons."

He is not expected to make it out of the AHL.
