New York Islanders: Time for a Shakeup

The Islanders are starting to go downhill, and it's only November.

After losing 6-0 against the Stanley Cup champ Boston Bruins on Saturday night, a game in which the Islanders looked the flattest they've been all season, it's time for a change. Now, this change doesn't need to be in management, but in the players' ranks.

It's time for the Isles to make a big move that will drastically improve the team. This is a team that was possibly a playoff contender this season. Instead, they just look like they took a step backward. Players that were supposed to step up like Josh Bailey, Blake Comeau and Kyle Okposo have done little to help

Garth Snow, the Islanders GM, needs to make some moves. No more minor signings or trading for draft picks. It's early in the season, and the Islanders are in a very important position right now. All the hype around this team is gone and there is little to root for. The team seems disinterested at times and looks very slow. It's time to do something that will improve the team.
