New York Islanders Coach Jack Capuano on NHL Live

Jack Capuano called in to NHL Live on Tuesday and touched on multiple topics, including the goalie situation and his future with the team.

Jack Capuano on NHL Live

Capuano first discussed the latest on Rick DiPietro, saying that he is day-to-day. He was then asked if the team can keep up its winning ways given the goaltending situation. Capuano complimented the goaltending coaches in the organization, and said he hopes that the goalies can hold up.

When asked about his mantra as a coach, Capuano responded that his is “high-percentage hockey and high-percentage plays.” Capuano briefly touched on the trades before complimenting John Tavares on his work ethic and his dedication.

He finished off by saying that he does not think about the interim tag, and feels “whatever happens in the future, happens.”
