New Jerey Devils Continue To Disappoint, Could Season Be in Jeopardy?

Things continue to take a turn southward for the Devils, as we do another rendition of good news, bad news for the Devils.

Good news:  Brian Rolston returned to the lineup, along with Matthew Corrente, both of whom have come back healthy from their injuries.

Bad news:  Jamie Langenbrunner and Matt Taormina both missed the debacle in Boston, where the Devils once again did not score a goal.  Bryce Salvador continues to miss time with concussion symptoms, and even when he returns, the team will have to rework its salary cap to even fit Salvador onto the active roster.

Good news:  Youngsters Alexander Vasyunov and Mattias Tedenby have added a nice spark to the team, including scoring their first NHL goals in the 4-3 OT win against Edmonton on Friday night.

Bad news:  Neither one was able to score against Boston, although Tedenby did have a couple of good opportunities early in the game that were thwarted by Tim Thomas.

Good news: Ilya Kovalchuk got a monkey off his back with the big overtime winning goal against Edmonton, scoring his fourth goal of the season.
