Detroit Red Wings fans throw octopi onto the ice. A San Jose Sharks fan tossed a shark onto the ice in recent years. And now the Nashville Predators fans have put their own spin on the act by using catfish.

Most hockey fans can at least understand the reasoning behind the celebrations. But how?

How do people sneak oversized, slimy, smelly sea animals into an arena?

For those wondering, a group of Nashville fans have revealed their secret. And it's surprisingly simple.  

Now that the trick has been made public, if the Predators ever want to put an end to the ritual, they know how to stop at least one method of smuggling.
