Nashville Predators: Defensive Team Continues To Ride Hot Streak Up The Standing

If you were to look at the overall NHL stat sheet, you would not see a Nashville Predator's name in the scoring department until you get to around No. 113. There you would find centre Steve Sullivan's name with 18 points.

That's right—18 points leads this Nashville Predators team, which finds itself sitting five points behind the Detroit Red Wings in the Central Division of the Western Conference with a record of 16-8-6.

If the playoffs were to start today, the Preds would find themselves most likely the No. 5 seed in the West.

Not at all bad considering, as I mentioned before, their leading scorer has a total of 18 points in 30 games so far this season.

This team may not have the firepower of say the Philadelphia Flyers or Detroit Red Wings, but Nashville does boast one of the best defensive teams in the entire NHL, allowing only 72 goals into its net so far this season, which is good enough to be fourth overall in that department.
