Prior to the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets yesterday, Ken Hitchcock was praising the Montreal Canadiens coaching staff for the fine work it was doing with the team.

I think I have just been too caught up into everything that is negative around our Habs, that I did not realize that Jacques Martin and his assistants were doing a fine work, indeed. Very fine.

I mean, take a look at this team.

Let’s say Brian Gionta is the engine of the car, Scott Gomez is the wheel, and Andrei Markov represents one of the front tires.

So now we basically have a car, without an engine, a wheel, and a tire. The car is slowly leaning to the front and it seems all hopes are quickly fading out, with 20 passengers on board.
