Monday Morning Musings with Me, the Big E: Hey Wilson, the Countdown Is On!

Welcome to the final edition of Monday Morning Musings with Me, the Big E here on Bleacher Report. No, I'm not going away; I'm just moving this particular feature. Enough about me, we'll get to that later.

The Toronto Maple Leafs losing skid hit the eight-game mark on the weekend with a big letdown loss to the high-flying Vancouver Canucks.

All things being equal, the Buds played their best game by far in almost two weeks, thanks in large part to Giggy allowing a pretty soft and extremely untimely goal. He wasn't the only culprit, though.

The officiating in the game was laughable, literally.

That said, though, the Leafs played a much more spirited game and could have quite easily beaten the Canucks, who, for all intents and purposes, are a far superior team offensively.

The calling-up of Nazem Kadri and Keith Aullie certainly had a positive effect on the team, or at least it seemed that way. Aullie was solid throughout the game and Kadri, although he seemed a little overwhelmed at times and perhaps overthought things on occasion, looked good as well.
