Marc-Andre Fleury Injury: Updates on Penguins Star’s Concussion and Return

Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury is going to miss at least a week of action after being diagnosed with a concussion following Monday night's game against the Washington Capitals.

Fleury Didn't Feel Right After Game vs. Capitals Tuesday, Dec. 15 Jenn Menendez of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette noted head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed the netminder alerted the coaching and medical staffs about how he was feeling after the game. General manager Jim Rutherford provided the possible timetable for Fleury but admitted it's hard to pinpoint a return in these situations.

"I haven't talked to the doctor yet. I don't have any further information other than he was examined, and it was determined he was concussed," Rutherford said. "At a minimum one to two weeks. You can't put a timeline on these things though."
