With the Stanley Cup Finals two days away, the attention centers on offseason moves in Leafs nation today.

Brian Burke announced Thursday afternoon that the Toronto Maple Leafs have signed German prospect Korbinian Holzer to a two-year entry level contract.

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed Holzer in 2006 in the fourth round, and he has spent his years in the German Elite League developing and progressing, in attempt to be a star for the Maple Leafs in the future.

Korbinian Holzer is a 6'3", 205-pound defenseman originally from Munich, Germany.

Holzer represented Germany at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, and has six goals, 16 assists for 22 points in 52 games with the DEG Metro Stars in the DEL. He also maintained a plus-12.

He's a big D-man, and I am excited that Burke has landed him for another couple of years!

Feel free to comment and post your thoughts on the Korbinian Holzer signing!
