The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Los Angeles Kings by a 2-1 score in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals to take a 1-0 series lead. Game 2 is tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET in Chicago.

The Kings survived an initial Blackhawks' barrage of shots, getting outshot 17-2 in the first period, but coming away with a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period. Justin Williams had the Kings' goal on an interesting bounce that he put past Corey Crawford.

The Blackhawks tied the game in the second period when Patrick Sharp swatted home a rebound. Marian Hossa scored just under four minutes later and the Blackhawks were able to clamp down defensively and take home the win in Game 1.

Jonathan Quick stopped 34 of 36 shots, but it wasn't enough as the Blackhawks claimed victory.
