Tampa Bay Lightning 5, Detroit Red Wings 2 (Series Tied at 3-3)
The Tampa Bay Lightning delivered a strong offensive performance and forced Game 7 in their Eastern Conference first-round series with the Detroit Red Wings.
Tyler Johnson featured in a key role on Monday night at Joe Louis Arena, as he produced two of the Lightning's five goals.
His first goal came with 3:47 off the clock in the first period, as he placed the puck through the legs of Detroit goalkeeper Petr Mrazek.
Jason Garrison netted the second Tampa Bay goal of the night after he received a pass from Steven Stamkos on the right side of ice. Before Mrazek could shift over and defend the shot, Garrison sailed his shot into the net.
Johnson opened up a three-goal lead in the second period by placing the puck into the bottom right corner of the net.
Tomas Tatar pulled back two goals for the hosts, but before they could find a third goal, the visitors locked up their third win of the series.
