The Boston Bruins announced the start time for their home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday has been moved to 7 p.m. ET due to snowstorm Nemo. The puck was previously scheduled to drop at 1 p.m.

Nemo is expected to slam the east coast over the next couple days, dropping two feet or more of snow in the Boston area, according to the Weather Channel. The six-hour delay will give road crews a chance to clear the roads without 17,000 fans trying to make the journey to TD Garden.
Few things can stop the sports world from spinning, but weather is definitely one of them. Hurricane Sandy caused cancellations, including an anticipated matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks last October.
It's unclear if other teams along the east coast will follow the Bruins' lead and make changes or cancel games altogether. A lot will depend on which areas get hit the hardest and at what time the storm hits in relation to the planned start time.
