Leaf Fans Get Excited: Nazem Kadri Takes the OHL Playoffs by Storm

Although he’ll never be the biggest, fastest, or strongest player on the ice, Nazem Kadri seems to think that he is; and this postseason, it’s showing on the score sheet. It is well known that Kadri is an extremely skilled forward, but physically and mentally he was thought not to be mature enough to handle the rigours of an NHL season.

Despite collecting three goals and two assists for five points in six preseason games for the Leafs, Brian Burke thought it best to send his best prospect back to the OHL for one more season.

After being sent down, Kadri decided that he was going to put on a show to prove that he was ready for the NHL ranks, and thus far he’s done just that.

After putting up 78 points last season, Kadri exploded this year posting 93 points in 56 games (fifth in the OHL), racking up 105 PIM’s along the way. Leaf fans should take note that he hasn’t let up in the playoffs smoking the Guelph Storm f ...
