Larkin Becomes 1st Red Wings Rookie Since Zetterberg to Score 20 Goals

Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin scored his 20th goal of the season during Thursday's 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets, becoming the first Red Wings rookie to record a 20-goal campaign since Henrik Zetterberg had 22 tallies in 2002-03, per Sportsnet Stats.

Previously in the midst of a seven-game point drought, the impressive 19-year-old provided Detroit's first goal Thursday night, sparking a comeback from an early 2-0 deficit.

Though he's slowed down quite a bit as the season has worn on, Larkin surprisingly still leads his team in goals, with his 20 assists good for sixth-best on the squad.

Chicago Blackhawks left wing Artemi Panarin is the only member of the impressive 2015-16 rookie class with more goals than Larkin, having scored 25 times to go along with a rookie-leading 37 assists.

Buffalo Sabres center Jack Eichel is tied with Larkin for second place at 20 goals, followed shortly thereafter by fellow Sabres center Sam Reinhart (19) and Arizona Coyotes left wings Max Domi and Anthony Duclair (17 apiece).
