Kris Versteeg Sent To the Leafs; Hawks Receive Three Forwards In Return

As many have probably assumed Kris Versteeg has been traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs along with the rights to Bill Sweatt. 

Per Pierre LeBrun, the Blackhawks will receive forwards: Viktor Stalberg, Chris DiDomenico, and Philippe Paradis.

Much speculation surrounded whether Versteeg would be in a Hawks sweater next season. 

Taking with him is great open ice speed and offensive vision.

Last season Versteeg amassed 20 goals and 22 assists, while finishing with a +8 plus/minus rating.

Coming to the Hawks is Viktor Stalberg (RW), a 6’3” forward with rocket speed. 

With the ability to blow by defenders, he will need to establish the ability to use his size to be successful. 

In 40 games last season with the Maple Leafs he chipped in 9 goals and added 5 assists.

While Chris DiDomenico (C) is on the smaller side at 5'11 and 165 pounds, he has overcome his stature limits with excellent hockey sense.
