Kings Captain Dustin Brown Zings President Obama During Congratulatory Call

July 3rd, 2014 by Kyle Newport Leave a reply »

When someone calls to congratulate and praise your team, the polite thing to do is say "thank you." The fun thing to do is take a shot at that person's fandom, even when that person happens to be the president of the United States.

President Barack Obama called Los Angeles Kings general manager Dean Lombardi and captain Dustin Brown to congratulate the team on winning the 2014 Stanley Cup. It had to be a tough call for President Obama due to the fact that the Kings knocked off the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Final.

Luckily, everyone was able to get a good chuckle out of Brown's quip.
