Jonathan Quick Injury: Updates on Kings Goalie’s Status, Likely Return Date

Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick had to exit the team's 3-2 shootout loss against the Buffalo Sabres with 1:20 remaining in the overtime period with an undisclosed injury.

Quick is down, Scrivens is getting ready but not sure if he'll go in yet. Ehh boy.

— LA Kings (@LAKings) November 13, 2013 Quick was injured while stopping a shot from Sabres defenseman Christian Ehrhoff. Though it looked like a mostly routine play, Quick looked to have hurt his leg while going for the save near the post. He was attended to on the ice by the Kings training staff and quickly skated off back to the locker room when it was clear he couldn't go.

Ben Scrivens replaced Quick in the Kings net and held Buffalo scoreless for the final 1:20 and only allowed two goals in the shootout. However, Ryan Miller, who finished with 43 saves, did him one better, as the Kings fell to 11-6-1 on the season.

After the game, coach Darryl Sutter indicated that he hadn't checked on the severity of Quick's condition, per Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider:
