Johnny Gaudreau Injury: Updates on Flames LW’s Recovery from Finger Surgery

Calgary Flames left wing Johnny Gaudreau suffered a broken finger Tuesday and had surgery to repair the injury on Wednesday. It is unclear when he will return to the ice.

Latest on Gaudreau's Timeline to Return  Thursday, Nov. 17 Flames general manager Brad Treliving announced Gaudreau will miss about six weeks after undergoing successful finger surgery. 

Gaudreau to Undergo Finger Surgery Wednesday, Nov. 16 The Flames announced Gaudreau will have surgery on his fractured finger on Wednesday. John Shannon of Sportsnet initially reported the news. 

Gulutzan Comments on Injury Wednesday, Nov. 16 Flames head coach Glen Gulutzan noted after the game against the Minnesota Wild that the player had taken a "couple of slashes," per the team's official Twitter account.
