John Tortorella, This is Exactly What I was Talking About

Yesterday I had a little rant about Rangers' head coach John Tortorella and the lack of accountability within the Rangers' organization. So when the Rangers lost in overtime for the seventh time this season, their OT record is now 1-7, it would only be natural to expect reporters to ask about the problem.

Tortorella’s response : “I’m not going to explain it to you.”

That’s exactly what I was talking about. The Rangers have a head coach who, despite his background in the media, fails to understand the job they’re doing. The team has been pathetic in overtime situations and they lost another important game in overtime. If the reporters don’t ask about it, they’re not doing their jobs.

But what does Tortorella care? He thinks he doesn’t need to answer any questions he doesn’t feel like or even bother being civil with reporters at all because well, he doesn’t have to. This is an organization that from the top down just doesn’t care about the media or the ...
