There's a video of Toronto Maple Leafs winger Joey Crabb sweeping across the sports world today, after the 28-year-old found himself in an embarrassing position Tuesday night.
Crabb had just finished making a nice little kickstop, spin and shoot move in the offensive zone, when he sped towards the far corner to make a check on Capitals forward Nicklas Backstrom.
But, Crabb missed his check on the 23-year-old center, and when he turned to go down the ice, he found himself unable to do so.
Crabb had managed to get his glove stuck in the hole cut in the glass for the photographer's camera lens and seemed genuinely stunned by the turn of events. He struggled for a few moments and eventually freed himself, but not before making the world a little brighter with his goof.
Crabb had two shots on goal Tuesday night, but really didn't have much impact on the game (other than giving fans something to laugh about after the fact).
In the end, even his hilarity couldn't save the Leafs from a playoff dream-crushing defeat, as the Capitals went on to win 3-2 in a shootout, mathematically eliminating Toronto from the pla ...
