Jaromir Jagr has been a force for the Florida Panthers early in the season, but the veteran forward left the team's Oct. 27 game against the Colorado Avalanche with a lower body injury and is listed as day-to-day.

Jagr Out vs. Bruins  Friday, Oct. 30 Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel confirmed Jagr's status for the contest against the Boston Bruins.

Gallant Comments on Jagr's Injury Wednesday, Oct. 28 According to Craig Davis of the Sun Sentinel, "Panthers coach Gerard Gallant said Jagr's injury is 'hopefully minor,' a slight strain of the groin or hip that has been bothering him for the past week."

Gallant said that Jagr could have returned to the game Tuesday night if needed and that he could play Friday against the Bruins, per George Richards of the Miami Herald.

Jagr's Absence Robs Panthers of Top Playmaker Jagr, 43, is Florida's leading scorer on the season, with six goals and four assists in nine games. His scoring streak—along with his veteran presence—is a big reason why Florida has gotten off to a solid 5-3-1 start.
