Jarome Iginla: 10 Trade Destinations Now That Darryl Sutter is Gone

December 28th, 2010 by donald wood Leave a reply »
NHL.com is reporting that Calgary Flames executive vice president and general manager Darryl Sutter has resigned and former Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Jay Feaster has been appointed acting general manager, giving him full control of all day-to-day hockey operations for the club.

Feaster was the GM in Tampa Bay during the Stanley Cup win in 2004 and maybe his know-how and willingness to make moves will change the landscape of the Flames.

This news could be the first foot to drop in the long walk away from Calgary for Iginla.  The Sutters wouldn’t move Iginla but Feaster could make a move quickly.  Feaster will be trying to keep his job and if an offer comes along that blows him away, he would be quick to pull the trigger.

Now that Sutter isn’t in control anymore, Iginla’s palms just got a little sweaty.

The following is a list of 10 possible destinations for Jarome Iginla now that he is back on the market.

Happy New Year and Enjoy!
