Jakub Voracek Injury: Updates on Flyers Star’s Foot and Return

Philadelphia Flyers right-winger Jakub Voracek is dealing with a lower-body injury that will keep him out of action for multiple games.

Voracek's Timeline for Recovery Revealed  Monday, Feb. 29 The Flyers announced Voracek will be out "approximately" two weeks. Dave Issac of the Courier-Post noted that the injury was to his left foot. 

This is a difficult setback for the Flyers, especially since the veteran Voracek turned in a career season in 2014-15. His 81 points came off 59 assists and 22 goals, and the assists and points numbers were both career highs. He also played all 82 games for the second consecutive campaign.

Thus far this season, he has 48 points off 38 assists and 10 goals. 


That recent durability and productivity proved critical for a Philadelphia team that otherwise had a disappointing season in 2014 and missed the playoffs. The hope among Flyers fans was the team would turn the corner in 2015 with Voracek setting up scoring opportunities from the wing.
