Washington Capitals 4, New York Islanders 3 (Series Tied at 1-1) 

Down by two goals in the second period, Alex Ovechkin brought life back into the Verizon Center in the form of the Washington Capitals' second goal. 

After the Russian superstar pounced near the left side of the net, the Capitals scored two more goals and tied the series with the New York Islanders at 1-1. 

Ovechkin's first goal of the postseason came 16 minutes into the second, and it also hit the back of the net two minutes after Kyle Okposo struck for New York's third. 

With just under four minutes off the clock in the third period, Nicklas Backstrom struck the puck past New York goalie Jaroslav Halak and leveled the score. 

Four minutes later, Jason Chimera scored the game-winning goal off his own rebound, which was created by a Halak save. 

Over the final 10 minutes of the game, the Capitals used the momentum gained from the three unanswered goals to finish off their first victory of the 2015 postseason.
