Hello and Hopefully Goodbye To Wade Redden

Hello readers!  My name is Frank Cavoli Jr. and I’m the newest writer of Broadway Hockey Daily .  First I would like to say I’m absolutely thrilled to join Rob and Eric to bring YOU the best coverage of Rangers hockey possible and that Blueshirt Dirt will continue to operate in a non-Rangers capacity…check out the site to find out how.  Second…well…it’s my first post…and it’s about my favorite player (insert sarcasm here) Wade Redden!

It’s no secret…Wade Redden had a terrible year.  Two goals and 12 assists.  That’s about $425,000 for each point.  Was it worth it?  Absolutely not.  So what can we do about him?  Buy out his huge contract, trade him, dump him in Hartford, or God forbid…let him play on the Rangers again next season?

I say we dump him in Hartford.   Here is why…one…his NHL experience is good for the young players in Hartford…two…he’s not eating up cap space we can use for NHL caliber players…and three…he won’t be wearing a Rangers jersey.  That means we won ...
