Game Over: Phoenix Coyotes Forces Game Seven

Yeah, I know.  It's bad form to write about a game like it's a foregone conclusion before the game is actually finished.

But I figure if the Wings thought they would be alright with playing 20 minutes, I should be okay writing up this article with an equal amount of work put in and enjoying the rest of my day.

Besides, there is exactly 0 percent chance this team right now is beating Bryzgalov at least five times today.  I say "at least" because, unlike Detroit, the Phoenix Coyotes have actually decided to play the entire game.  They might score a few more times before the day is done.

This was arguably the most pathetic display I saw from a Wings team in a close-out game in my scant 31 years of life.

This was Game One all over again, this time on home ice.

Poor, passive defense.

Bad turnovers.

Pitiful effort on the penalty kill.

Getting too cute on the power play.

When did I realize the Wings were in trouble?

When they had a five-on-three power play for over a minute...and generated two shots.

This is the Red Wings that I hate to watch, ...
