Phoenix Coyotes might have been jipped by Steve Yzerman and Team Canada, but the Coyotes did something to be happy about.

Sean Sullivan, currenty playing for the Coyotes AHL affiliate the San Antonio Rampage, was the only member of the Rampage to be selected to the PlanetUSA All-Star Team.

A product from Boston, Mass., Sullivan leads the Rampage in assists (20) and is tied for fourth place in points (24).

The Coyotes selected the Boston product in the ninth round (272nd overall) in the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft and he produced.

In his four seasons playing for the Rampage, Sullivan has built the reputation of being one of the best defenseman in the AHL. While in San Antonio, Sullivan has polished his skills in hopes of getting recalled by the Coyotes from General Manager Don Maloney.

The Coyotes have produced one of the strongest defensive teams in the NHL this season which might find it difficult for Sullivan to be called up to the NHL.

The 2010 AHL All-Star game will be televised nationally on Jan. 19th (6 p.m. EST) from the Cumblerland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine.
