Evgeni Malkin Injury: Updates on Penguins Star’s Status

Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin left the team’s Friday night matchup against Florida after a hard slide into the boards left him shaken up.

The Penguins will have to continue to wait for superstar forward Evgeni Malkin to return the ice. Pittsburgh reported the following news on Malkin's injury via Twitter:

According to the Pittsburgh Penguins' official Twitter feed, Malkin left the game on his own accord after hitting the boards hard and more information regarding his injury will be available Saturday.
