Byfuglien Will Not Return Against Senators Wednesday, March 4 The Jets announced Byfuglien will not return to Wednesday’s contest against the Senators because of an "upper body injury."

Byfuglien is a physical enforcer on the back end of the Jets defense, but he also has 42 points on the season (15 goals and 27 assists). His ability to get involved in the scoring department as well as get back on defense is critical in Winnipeg’s attack.

The Jets are battling for postseason position in the daunting Western Conference, although they may have to find a way to replace Byfuglien's production for the time being. That may prove difficult considering it is the stretch run of the season.
