Nashville 3, Anaheim 1 (Series tied at 3-3)

The Nashville Predators forced Game 7 in their Western Conference first-round series with the Anaheim Ducks on Monday with a 3-1 win at home in Game 6. 

Wednesday's Game 7 at the Honda Center will be the first in Nashville's franchise history. 

After a scoreless first period, Mattias Ekholm broke the deadlock in the second period with a terrific individual effort. Ekholm picked up the puck behind the left side of the net and he fired his shot into the back of the net from the right side of the ice. 

Nashville struck for its second tally of Game 6 on a two-on-one created by Ryan Johansen. Johansen fed James Neal on the left side of the attacking zone in the buildup to Neal's goal.

Ryan Kesler brought the Ducks within one right before the second intermission as he knocked a loose puck into an open net on a diving effort. 

The Predators held on to their one-goal advantage for most of the third period until Shea Weber iced the victory with an empty-net goal.
