Ducks’ Ryan Getzlaf Notches 600th Career NHL Point

With a three-point effort in the Anaheim Ducks' 6-2 win over the Florida Panthers on Sunday, Ryan Getzlaf notched his 600th career NHL point. It took the 28-year-old center 623 regular-season games—all with the Ducks—to reach the milestone. He is the third player in franchise history to hit the mark. Teemu Selanne and Paul Kariya are the other two players to do so while with the organization.

Meanwhile, Getzlaf became the 295th player in NHL history to reach the 600-point mark. Among active skaters, he is 37th overall in that category and tied for 31st (with Dany Heatley) with 418 assists.

The third point Getzlaf recorded Sunday was his 30th tally of the season. It's the first time that the Ducks captain—who made his debut with the team during the 2005-06 season—has reached that mark over his nine NHL seasons. Overall, he is second in the NHL in scoring for the 2013-14 season, with 79 points in 67 contests.
