With less than a week remaining in the NHL regular season, we await four more teams to punch their ticket to the big dance. The question is, however, which four teams will it be? In the Eastern Conference, positions six through eight are up for grabs as five teams try and battle their way into post-season contention. Also adding to the pressure is the fact that these teams are all within five points of one another, meaning that this race is far from over. Out West, the Calgary Flames have dropped off since the new year and are looking to chase down their division rivals from Colorado. The Avalanche are two points ahead of Calgary and also hold a game in hand. Though they have to win every game remaining on their schedules, both the Anaheim Ducks and St. Louis Blues have a slim chance of extending their seasons. For fans, the intensity of playoff hockey has arrived early this year. If that failed to make a point, Tuesday's matchup of the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins failed to crack this list.
