Jonathan Toews is the best player on the Chicago Blackhawks, and he is arguably one of the three best all-around players in the NHL.

He has all the skills needed to be successful, and the Blackhawks' captain has written a brilliant script during the first seven years of his career. He has already raised the Stanley Cup twice in his career, and there's no reason to believe that he won't have that privilege several more times.

Toews, 25, and the Blackhawks have been at or near the top of the NHL's Western Conference this season and a look at Toews's statistics indicates that he is once again having another superb year. Through 42 games, he has scored 15 goals and 25 assists. He is the team's third-leading scorer behind Hart Trophy candidate Patrick Kane and explosive Patrick Sharp.

Toews is an outstanding defensive player, and he is a stud in the face-off circle. Toews is winning 57.1 percent of the draws he has taken this year, and he has a plus-16 rating. He is also the second-highest rated Corsi player on the team with a percentage of 59.6, just behind the surprising Andrew Shaw (60.0).
