Detroit Red Wings vs. Toronto Maple Leafs: A Game Important for Both Teams

I don't know about everyone else, but I've been counting down the days until this game.

But since the Leafs' turnaround and drastic push for the playoffs, my heart started to get bigger with excitement for when this day would arrive.

The simple fact is that I live in a town just outside of Toronto.

I hear from my friends about how much "the Red Wings suck" and how much the "Wings are going to choke in the playoffs."

It's funny, Leaf fans are huge smack talkers because whenever I hear the lips flapping, I just glance over to the standings and see where the Red Wings are situated and where the Leafs are situated.

This game is going to be an epic Original Six battle.

In my opinion, one of the most exciting games to watch this season was when the Montreal Canadiens visited the Joe on December 10.

Jimmy Howard had probably one of his best games in the red and white and the Wings held on for a 4-2 win.

Oh ya, that included an onslaught of 19 shots to three by the Habs in the final frame.
