The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Detroit Red Wings in Game 5 of their best-of-seven Western Conference Semifinal series by a final score of 4-1.
The Blackhawks avoided elimination and now trail the series 3-2.
Bryan Bickell scored in the first period to put the 'Hawks up 1-0. The Blackhawks pressure on the Red Wings created the goal, as Bickell had a wide-open net. In the second period, Dan Cleary tied the game on a goal from an impossible angle.
From there on out, it was all Blackhawks. They put up two power-play goals in the second period and Andrew Shaw led the team with two goals.
Chicago outshot the Red Wings by a 14-3 count in the third period.
