Detroit Red Wings Headed For Loss Tonight Against St. Louis Blues

We're one hour from the puck drop at Joe Louis Arena.

Unfortunately, the crystal ball does not predict a good outcome for the Red Wings.

My past two predictions (well, the predicted wins anyway) have come true, which makes this one a little tough to swallow as it has been revealed to me that the Wings are set for a rather big loss.

As I've done before, I am providing the final score, game winning goal scorer and a pre-analysis of the game.

Red Wings 2, Blues 6

The first period starts well enough for Detroit, as they establish a good fore-check and look ready to pounce early.

However, less than half-way through the first, David Perron puts an innocent looking wrister on net that slides through Jimmy Howard.

It goes down hill from here.

The Wings start to scrabble around and, on a giveaway, the score goes to 2-0 St. Louis.

Before the period is out, Paul Kariya makes it 3-0 Blues, sending the Wings into the first intermission a stunned and frustrated team.

The second period starts a little better for the Wings as they get an early goal from Drew Miller.
